Okay, so we have a bit of a tradition in that we spoil ourselves on a Sunday morning by eating out for breakfast most weekends. Its usually pretty simple, Bacon and Eggs, or perhaps a a stack of pancakes or an omelette? Its almost always accompanied by a flat white and a baby-cino for my daughter. Our favorite breakfast place at Nelson Bay doesnt charge for a baby-cino, but I am sure they are comfortable commanding a decent price for their other menu items - it all evens out in the end I am sure, but what really annoyed me this morning was paying a premium price for a baby-cino, along with a premium price for our breakfast. I mean, its essentially the leftover milk froth from our own flat-whites, served up in a espresso cup. I can even understand paying a token fee of 50c or $1 but to pay a price that is similar to a adult drink is just insulting. If they dont want to make baby-chinos, take it off the menu! We purposely delayed our weekend breakfast until today, Tuesday, so we had some room to breath with the holiday crowds.
