Sydney Royal Fine Food Show Coffee Winner 2014?

Bay Beans Coffee has entered the 2014 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show 2014 in the coffee category, specifically, the cappuccino class, which is a very popular category, but I'm hopeful that Bay Beans Espresso Master will shine on the day!

Sydney Royal Fine Food Show - Coffee Competition Class: Cappuccino.

Established in 1998, the Sydney Royal Coffee Competition is one of Australia’s leading coffee competitions. The competition is independent, authoritative and impartial. The Competition is held in February every year as part of the Summer Fine Food Show. The competition regularly received around 250 entries from coffee makers around Australia. Coffee can be Australian grown or imported, provided the beans are roasted in Australia. There are seven classes judged:

Espresso. Blend or Single Origin.
Espresso. 100% Australian Single Origin Estate or Regional Blend
Cappuccino. Blend or Single Origin.
Cappuccino. 100% Australian Single Origin Estate or Regional Blend
Plunger Coffee. Blend or Single Origin.
Plunger Coffee. 100% Australian Single Origin Estate or Regional Blend
Decaffeinated Coffee. Espresso. Blend or Single Origin.

Judges include growers, roasters, end users and food media.

Espresso Master would have to be one of my favourite blends but with so many to try it is always hard to remember the taste of the others, we are so lucky to have you James with so many wonderful Bay Bean varieties.

My espresso machine is also looking for its master. Can you explain more about this blend? I have not bean sailing along your bay for a while. Coming back from the holiday, I would need to stock up some coffee delivered by espresso post!

Hi Nabely - Espresso Master is predominately South American coffee beans, so has a nice full robust flavour, without being over-powering. It is one of the most popular choice for my cafe customers, so its clearly winning a lot of hearts.
