WENDY HALL from U on Sunday's has published a list of 50 unique coffee shop experiences in Queensland.
Wendy says in her article "We like to sip in interesting places - from old industrial spaces with cool minimal fit-outs to cluttered hip hangouts full of antiques and oddities. We like a view. Some of us like big old wooden communal tables, others just want a quiet corner to sit and read the paper or tap into WiFi, but it still needs to have a good vibe. With that in mind, I've come up with a list of 50 unique coffee experiences in Queensland."
The publication lists Bunker at Milton, who sells 5 Senses coffee from Melbourne as being a popular hideaway spot, with expertly made coffee.

Bunker, 21 Railway Tce, Milton, 0422 124 767
Bunker has its home in a World War II bomb shelter built in the 1940s when war was approaching Australia. It's a popular hideaway in which to dip into a terrific assortment of expertly made coffees.
The creeping fig hedge that has been growing in and on the structure for more than 30 years also gives it a unique and leafy feel.
The house coffee here is a seasonal blend from 5 Senses roasters in Melbourne and there's always another option to try in the second grinder, usually a single origin, from local, interstate and international roasters.
Open 6.15am - 3.30pm, Monday-Friday

Penny and Peter Wolff, who also own Wolff Coffee Roasters, brought a new concept to Brisbane when they opened this gorgeous coffee and tea place two years ago.
It's all about really high-end coffee and ultimate variety - up to four separate espresso beans on any given day and three on the brew bar for those who like to try alternative brew methods.
Every coffee and tea is served with tasting notes. The food is deliberately simple so you can concentrate on the flavours in your cup, but old-school faves like chicken and leek pie and hot-pressed sandwiches hit the spot.
Open Monday-Saturday, 8am-4pm and Sunday 8am-2pm, with a takeaway wagon operating out of the front from 7am daily.

Gov's Espresso, 2459 Gold Coast Highway, Gold Coast, 5226 5510
This is an utterly charming space with treasures from other eras dotted around - big furniture pieces as well as more obscure and interesting relics.
The cafe doubles as an antique shop so there's ever-changing eye candy if you're into the vintage thing.
Gov's offers two house blends, roasted by Supreme Roasters, and a weekly single origin, and the locals are particularly fond of the big breakfast here, free-range eggs and all.
Open 7am-3pm, Monday-Saturday and 8am-1pm Sunday.
